How many Saturdays a year does the Royal Palm Beach Green Market actually run? Last season the answer was 31. This season it's 28.
The market's 2026–27 season opens Saturday, October 17, lakeside at Village Hall, and runs through April 24, 2027, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Palm Beach Post's guide to the 2025–26 season listed it from October 11 through May 9, 2026. That means this season starts a week later and ends about two weeks earlier. That leaves 24 Saturdays a year with no market at Village Hall. Over the past year, the new places to eat in Royal Palm Beach have mostly opened in one plaza on Southern Boulevard, and those places don't keep seasonal hours.
Three fewer Saturdays at Village Hall
The market sits at 1050 Royal Palm Beach Blvd., on the southeast corner of Okeechobee Boulevard and Royal Palm Beach Boulevard. It didn't start there. In September 2013, the Palm Beach Post previewed the Village's first weekly Green Market & Bazaar, which was set to open October 20 at Commons Park. Thirteen years later, it's a Village Hall fixture.
The market's own description lists fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices, local honey, baked goods and pastries. It also lists artists and crafters selling jewelry and handicrafts, along with gourmet coffee, ice cream, juices, food vendors and food trucks. Parking is free, and the market calls itself pet-friendly. It asks owners to follow the Village's pet leash ordinance.
The market hasn't published a list of this season's vendors. Its vendor page lists categories and fees, not names. Kathy Gilbert of POTTC Events is the contact for anyone who wants to sell, exhibit or sponsor. Neither the market's page nor the Village calendar announces anything special for opening day beyond the usual 9-to-1 market. So October 17 should look like a regular market Saturday.
Here's how the two most recent seasons compare:
| Season | First Saturday | Last Saturday | Market Saturdays |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025–26 | October 11, 2025 | May 9, 2026 | 31 |
| 2026–27 | October 17, 2026 | April 24, 2027 | 28 |
The Saturday counts come from the published start and end dates. They don't account for any weekend lost to weather or holidays.
The plaza at 10101 Southern Boulevard keeps adding food
The Village Shoppes at 10101 Southern Blvd. has added more food businesses this year than anywhere else in the village, based on what local outlets have reported.
The list so far:
- Popeyes opened in Suite 11, near Burlington. The Town-Crier reported it in February.
- Guaca Go opened in Unit 190, with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, September 16. It's open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Natural Blends Nutrition Cafe is coming to Suite 180. Owner Robert Bryan told What Now Miami it should open around the first of December, depending on permits.
- Einstein Bros. Bagels shows up on the Village's June 2026 business tax receipt register at Suite 200, with a June 18 license date. The location was first reported as planned in September 2025. A license isn't an opening, and we haven't found an opening date reported anywhere.
They join two tenants already in the plaza, Frannie's Restaurant and Supermercado El Bodegon.
Guaca Go is the second location for franchise owners Fab Nunez and Jessie Sequeira, who also run Guaca Go Tequesta. It's the brand's fourth restaurant in Palm Beach County. The Town-Crier described the move as taking the brand west into Royal Palm Beach, Wellington and nearby communities. The owners described what they took from the first location:
"Opening in Tequesta showed us exactly what this community responds to: fresh food, real hospitality and a brand that shows up for its neighborhood."
The menu is bowls, burritos, salads and build-your-own plates built around guacamole mashed to order. The restaurant calls its ingredients gluten-free, vegan-friendly and seed-oil-free. Natural Blends is known for smoothies, juices and organic acai bowls, plus sandwiches such as a chicken pesto melt and salads such as a chef salad. Its first location opened in Greenacres around 2016, followed by Boynton Beach and West Palm Beach.
Why the market and the plaza work together
The hours fit together. The market closes at 1 p.m. Guaca Go opens at 11 a.m. and serves until 8 p.m. every day, so a Saturday that starts at Village Hall can end on Southern Boulevard.
The months fit together too. Starting April 25, 2027, Village Hall will be quiet on Saturdays until fall. Village Shoppes stays open on its normal schedule all summer. If Natural Blends opens on its early-December target, the plaza will also have smoothies and acai bowls, the closest thing on Southern Boulevard to the market's juice stands, through the summer.
A few other changes along the same road matter for Saturday plans. Bodybar Pilates opened at Southern Palm Crossing, 11021 Southern Blvd., Suite 170, and is open seven days a week. Maple Street Biscuit Company at 11925 Southern Blvd. closed by late July as part of the company's Florida closures. The Palm Beach Post's September roundup of 2026 restaurant closures lists it as Royal Palm Beach's only one. In that same stretch, the Village Shoppes went from one new food tenant this year to three, with a fourth licensed and waiting on an opening date.
The fall calendar around the market
The market's opening weekend kicks off a busy few months of Village events. Commons Park has its own schedule, which we covered in our guide to Commons Park for the rest of 2026. The dates below are the ones that fall around market Saturdays.
| Date | What | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Sat., Oct. 17 | Green Market season opens, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. | Village Hall, 1050 Royal Palm Beach Blvd. |
| Tue., Oct. 20 | Community Band Concert, 7–9 p.m. | 151 Civic Center Way |
| Fri., Oct. 23 | Rock N Fall Fest, 5–9:30 p.m. | Commons Park |
| Sat., Oct. 24 | Rock N Fall Fest, 3–9 p.m. | Commons Park, 11600 Poinciana Blvd. |
| Fri., Oct. 30 | Senior Program Halloween Party, noon–2 p.m. | RPB Recreation Center |

October 24 is the busiest Saturday. The market wraps up at 1 p.m., and Rock N Fall Fest opens at Commons Park two hours later. The Village's November calendar lists the market every Saturday that month and no separate Saturday event for Veterans Day.
What's under construction during the season
Two Village parks projects will be underway for the entire market season. Both come from the Parks and Recreation Department's capital projects report dated July 20, 2026.
At Veterans Park, the old splash pad in the center of the park, which no longer works, is being turned into a decorative seating area on a $350,000 budget. Work began in June 2026, with completion targeted for August 2027. That's months after the market's last Saturday. Village staff have already pressure-washed and stain-tinted the park's wood trellises and pavilions.
The Recreation Center is getting a $20 million-plus expansion and remodel that adds 30,000 square feet of programming space and fully renovates the existing 30,000. The work began in May 2026 and is targeted to finish in December 2027. In April 2027, the month the market season ends, several programs will move to the Cultural Center, Sporting Center, Commons Park and Cypress Hall. If you go to the senior parties or other programs at 100 Sweet Bay Lane, expect the location to change next spring.
At Commons Park, the same report scheduled equipment for the new all-access playground to arrive in August 2026, with about two months of installation after that. The new play area is designed for users with physical and sensory disabilities. If that schedule held, installation would wrap up around the time the market opens.
The full season runs October 17 to April 24. It's posted on the Green Market's website, and the Village keeps its event calendar updated month by month. After April 24, the next market Saturday won't come until fall 2027.
